Why we started SantHome, and what we believe about living well at home.
It starts with a familiar frustration. You walk into a room that has been put together properly, think that you want it, then see the price and walk away. That moment is where SantHome began.
We started in Sant Pol de Mar, a small town on the Catalan coast north of Barcelona, with one question. Why is it so hard to find home goods that are both well made and affordable? The answer was never really about quality. It was about how many hands a product passes through, and the markup each one adds.
Closer to the source
So we shortened the chain. We work with a sourcing partner in Egypt and with suppliers across Europe, which removes the layers that add cost without adding anything else.
What that buys you is specific rather than vague. The Hotel Luxury bath towel is 800 gsm combed cotton with dual stitching, at 23.10 euros. The Medina bowls are handcrafted in Córdoba, so no two are quite identical, and they start at 12.90 euros. Those are numbers you can check, which is the point.
Curated, not collected
SantHome is not about filling a home with things. It is about choosing well. We keep a tight range across dining and kitchen, bedding and living, and each piece is there because it is worth owning for years rather than for a season.
Some of that comes from where we are. Mediterranean flats have tiled floors, hard light and limited space, and a lot of home goods writing is aimed at houses that look nothing like them. We choose the range for the homes we actually live in, rented ones included. That is why we stock things like drill-free bathroom fittings that a tenant can use and take with them.
What we promise
We are straight about where things come from and what they cost. Where we cannot confirm a specification, we say so rather than inventing one. Every product we list is one we would keep ourselves.
