How to care

A candle is burned, not cleaned, and almost every problem people have with one comes from the first burn or an untrimmed wick.

Care steps

  1. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before every burn.
  2. Let the first burn run until the melt pool reaches the edge of the jar, roughly 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Burn in a draft-free spot, away from fans and open windows.
  4. Extinguish with a snuffer rather than blowing it out, to avoid smoke and wax splatter.
  5. Stop burning once about 10 mm of wax remains, to protect the container.

Do

trim the wick, let the first burn pool fully, extinguish with a snuffer.

Do not

move a candle while the wax is liquid, burn it unattended, or leave it in direct sun.
