How to care

Olive wood mills, acacia boards and other wooden kitchen pieces last decades with one rule and one habit: keep them out of the dishwasher, and oil them now and then. Each piece has its own grain, and care is what keeps that character.

Care steps

  1. Hand wash with warm water and mild soap immediately after use.
  2. Dry with a towel at once, never leave wood to air dry wet.
  3. Stand boards upright to dry so air reaches both sides evenly.
  4. Oil monthly with food-safe mineral oil, more often for boards in daily use.
  5. Sand lightly with fine sandpaper to lift stains or knife marks, then re-oil.

Do

Do not

soak wood in water.
