Cotton

Cotton is the backbone of the SantHome textile range. Duvet covers, sheets, bath towels and beach towels all start with this natural cellulose fibre, spun from the seed hairs of the cotton plant and woven into fabric the same way it has been for centuries. It earns that place by being easy to live with. Cotton breathes through warm Mediterranean nights, absorbs its own weight in water many times over, and softens with every wash instead of wearing out. Several SantHome beach towels are woven from organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides.

Care

Will cotton bedding shrink after washing?

A small amount of shrinkage, usually under 3%, happens in the first one or two washes as the weave relaxes. Wash at 40°C or below and avoid a hot tumble dryer, and the size stays stable after that.

Does organic cotton feel different from regular cotton?

Not in hand feel. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, which is a farming difference, not a fibre difference, so it performs the same as any other long-staple cotton.
