Linen is the easiest natural fibre to live with once you accept its character. It softens with every wash, dries fast and does not need perfection. This guide covers washing, drying and the crisp-or-relaxed finishing choice.

Care steps

  1. Wash separately for the first few washes, flax fibre can shed loose lint early on.
  2. Wash at 30 to 40°C on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
  3. Never use chlorine bleach, it weakens the flax fibre over time.
  4. Iron damp on a linen setting for a crisp finish, or skip ironing for the relaxed, textured look.
  5. Line dry or tumble dry on low, then fold or hang while still slightly damp.

Do

Do not

bleach it, wring the fabric, or tumble dry on high heat.
