The metal in a bathroom is usually powder-coated, and the coating is what protects it. Care is mostly about not damaging that surface, and about not leaving water sitting on it.

Care steps

  1. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap after use.
  2. Dry immediately, do not leave standing water on a powder-coated surface.
  3. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool and solvent-based cleaners.
  4. Check and tighten wall fixings occasionally, especially on load-bearing pieces.
  5. Touch up minor scratches with a matching pen if the coating is chipped through to bare metal.

Do

dry after use, clean with mild soap, tighten fixings occasionally.

Do not

use bleach, abrasive creams, steel wool, or leave standing water on the coating.
