Polyester

What it is. Construction matters as much as fibre. A flat woven outdoor cover, a dense rug pile and a microfibre pillow case can all be polyester while feeling and performing differently.

Why we choose it. We choose polyester where softness, resilience and colour retention matter more than the dry handle of a natural fibre.

Look and feel. Smooth, woven, brushed or deeply piled depending on construction. Usually light in weight and quick to recover after drying.

Where it appears. Cushion covers, fleece bathrobes, a plush throw, a hammock, tablecloths, table runners and seasonal decorations.

Natural character. Light pilling or compression can develop at high-friction points. This is not always a defect and can often be managed with correct care.
